When do you ship orders? How long will my order take to arrive?
We ship orders every Tuesday morning. Journals are shipped First Class, but you can upgrade to Priority shipping when ordering. Shipping for Priority orders take 2-3 days in the US. Journals of 5 or more are automatically upgraded to Priority.
Do you have any other colors?
What is in the shop is what we have at the moment. I try to debut a few new colors throughout the year though. I usually announce them first on Instagram. Also, each month or so, there will be a limited edition color (only 50 printed!) that I will announce in our newsletter. Sign up here to be the first to know!
Do you offer discounts?
Yes we do! Check within the information for each listing to see the different options and coupon codes. Don’t forget to put these in before finalizing your order! We offer everything from $3 off each journal when ordering 3 or up to $7 off EACH when ordering 300 or more! We'll also include a code in our newsletter for a discount off one of our products each month! Sign up here to get the newsletter!
Can you send a note or gift wrap an order being shipped as a gift?
Yes! We can send a short (1-2 sentence) handwritten note with a gift order. Leave the wording you would like in the notes of your order along with name of the gifter and giftee. We have cards that read "Someone loves you and thought you'd like a gift from Val Marie Paper". We do not offer gift wrapping but our shipping presentation is neat and minimal. The journals are shipped in a kraft mailer with journal and your note.
Do you ship internationally?
We are phasing out the majority of our international shipping at this time. It’s pricy and takes forever and unfortunately, it reflects on us. If you know of any boutiques in your country that would be a great place to carry the VMP line: 1. Contact the shop and tell them you think they should carry our journals (hearing this from a customer is the best way to make this happen!) 2. Let me know and I can contact them as well with our pricing info! Or if you have anyone in the US that ships care packages to you, we can ship to the US address.
Do you sell to boutiques?
Yes we do! We limit to one brick and mortar shop per city. Contact us to see if there is availability in your town and to get pricing!
Can you customize journals or add a name?
No. We are unable to customize individual journals, but if you are looking to order more than 100, we have more flexibility with choosing colors and adding a logo or different text on the cover.
Can you design and produce a custom journal for me?
We do a limited number of custom projects depending on time, complexity of journal and quantity of journals. Send us what you are looking for and I'd be happy to chat and give you more information!
Do you offer donations for fundraisers?
This year one of my big goals was to do more giving. To make sure that happened each month consistently, I have set up our 2016 giving plan. Each month, $.50 for each journal sold will go to a specific charity or project. We currently sell anywhere from 400 – 1500 journals a month right now and possibly more depending on how each charity promotes them as well! If you would like to apply to be one of our 12 causes/projects for the year, submit the form here. If you are looking for journals as part of a marketing effort or collaboration, we do have a very limited number of journals available and only choose opportunities that fit our brand. Can I pick up my order to cut out the shipping cost? I wish I could do this! Unfortunately, if I had pick ups at home, I think I’d chat all day instead of get work done! If you’d like to pick up locally, stop by The Silver Suitcase or call ahead to make sure they have what you are looking for. If they don’t, let them know what you need and we will fulfill the order through them!
What is the best/quickest way to reach you?
Email! All emails are responded to within 1-2 days or if over the weekend, on the next business day. Even admist an unpredictable day of meetings or errands, shooting a quick email response is always possible. I don’t keep up with Facebook messages or Instagram direct messages very well. You’ve been forewarned!
What is your refund and exchange policy? If you changed your mind, we are happy to refund the cost of any journals that are returned to us unopened. Shipping cost will still be charged but you will get a refund for the cost of the journal when it arrives back to our shop!
